Hooking up the WSPR this morning. My GPS location is automatically determined by sats.
Using my end fed antenna for WSPR (removed from the IC7600, and the IC7600 received the 200mw signal only thru the coax…. Sans antenna! Got the 8-bander model; transmits in sequence thru the 8 bands. I should show up on the WSPR.rocks map, TBD.

Continuously transmits. Can check the band conditions. Will remove it and reattach the IC when I am ready to use it for HF. That’s the concept.

I am showing up on the WSPR map. In the past 12 hours, my 200mw signal was heard in Antarctica, CA, South America, Europe and the uppermost reaches of Canada. Amazing!

Update from Rob W2RWS January 11, 2023
“WSPR.rocks” lists the 10 best contacts by longest distance and gives frequency! This is from my 200mw transmitter on the end-fed earlier this morning. Look up my call letters and past 10 minutes to try it.
