At the woodworking show up in Saratoga Springs Pre-Pandemic, they gave a challenge. Make something out of an ordinary 2x4 piece of lumber. She decided to make the Starship Enterprise. She also went to Fort Ticonderoga where they have a museum of the stages of the Enterprise. She went up there when William Shatner was doing a meet & greet with autographs & pictures. I didn't think he would sign he piece of work, but he told her that he was impressed following the story she told him. He signed it both "William Shatner" & "Capt Kirk". For the picture, she wanted him to hold it, but he told her to hold it. This summer she is returning to the museum where both George Takai, (Sulu) & Walter Koenig, (Chekov), will be there for autographs & pictures. She is going to bring the Enterprise in hopes that they will sign it also.
What a wonderful experience! Amazing woodwork and… is that some type of lacquer? Thanks Scott and Ann Marie.
